Abstract

It can be assumed that changes in housing appeared due to changes in status and an increase in economic capacity in the late Choseon Dynasty occurred. Against this background, this study limited the scope of the study to a total of 96 traditional houses where traditional houses in Chungcheongbuk-do are located among the data recently released as e-books by Professor Kim Hong-sik. This house was divided into Anchae and a Sarangchae area through CAD work, and the flow and characteristics of housing change were derived by deriving a series diagram for each type of housing plane for the housing of the common class and the ruling class. The method of analyzing the plane types mutually analyzed the deformation characteristics of the housing planes that appeared through the relationship by the plane type system according to the presence or absence of a Sarang space, which is a social space in the main house. By analyzing the comparative characteristics of each housing type, it was intended to enhance understanding of the social situation of the time by deriving characteristics by region and class. Through the results of this study, a comprehensive interpretation of the life of Joseon, a Confucian country, was attempted.
