Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify residential management services that can support the independence of the disabled and to identify their needs. So, this study analyzed the current status and problems of housing management for disabled households and analyzed how to solve the housing management problem. The research contents were as follows: First, analysis of housing management status and characteristics of housing management behavior of disabled households; Second, analysis of community resources related to housing management services. The subjects of the survey were 29 persons with disabilities living in Seoul and Jeonju. The survey methods were literature review, interview and housing survey. As a result of this study, there was a difference in the status of housing management and required housing management services according to the type of housing, the type and extent of disability, the characteristics of the area of residence, and the type of household. However, there were limitations in maintaining homes alone for the disabled, and it was difficult to identify housing management services that could be supported due to lack of information, and to find and apply for affordable services. Residential management services for persons with disabilities living in single-family homes or small apartment houses were planned management, regular inspection services, and customized housing service information.
