Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship investigated through the in-depth interviews of the elderly and young in the overall context of the characteristics and influencing factors of the participants and to investigate the difference between the elderly and the young. The method of this research examined open materials from the homepage of Seoul city and conducted in-depth interviews with the 10 elderly and 11 young from Feb. 28 to May 27, 2016. The result is as follows. First, the elderly were female and the young were university students mostly. The main motivation is showed the economic reasons. Second, the elderly and young were found to have a secure relationship while living together. Third, the interaction between the elderly and young was found to be a vitality of life. Especially, the difference of experience that occurs in the generation gap is becoming a natural interactive factor. Fourth, the economic relationship was analyzed as a sustainable factor. Fifth, the economic and behavioral relationships, which are the physical factors of common life, can be regarded as affecting each other with emotional relations as internal factors. This study is a basic research on the common life of homeshare and expected that researches of various sides will be done.
