Abstract

At present, due to the lack of understanding on green architecture in the urban renewal projects, there is not established plan that takes into account energy of the building within the scope of project. Therefore, it is critical to establish an energy execution plan for the existing buildings within the urban renewal project. In this study, where 10 areas within the urban renewal projects of Gyeonsangbuk-do are considered, the details of the execution plans for the current urban renewal project, and house types, accomplishments index and so on will be analyzed. According to the research results, at present, the urban renewal project mainly focuses on improvement of the physical environment but in practice, there is no proper plan for the existing buildings and the old buildings that account for huge portions of all buildings in Korea. Therefore, on behalf of housing welfare, instead of simple maintenance of landscapes, a new strategy that takes into account the building energy should be suggested and also the strategy should be repaired in a way that green buildings are applied to architecture in accordance with the domestic trends.
