The purpose of this study is to categorize age-friendly home modification projects currently underway in Korea according to the project contents, and to present an improvement plan for the implementation process and manpower that reflects the characteristics of the project by analyzing the actual status of the project. To this end, a survey was conducted on coordinators who had participated in age-friendly home modification projects, and some coordinators were selected to hear in-depth opinions and additional interview surveys were conducted. In this study, age-friendly home modification projects were divided into 3 types such as ‘Improvement of housing performance’, ‘Home modification for aging’, and ‘Home modification for discharged patient’. The following is a summary of the main research results shown in this study to suggest improvement plans for age-friendly home modification: 1) It is necessary to clearly set the purpose of age-friendly home modification projects and to develop a specialized age-friendly home modification project to fit the purpose. 2) It is necessary to clarify the role of coordinators and secure manpower. 3) It is necessary to provide formal and systematic education and data/information on age-friendly home modification.
