A Comparative Study on the Housing Conditions by Urban Size in Local Small-Medium Cities 지방중소도시 도시규모별 주거실태 비교 연구

Abstract

This study derived policy implications by analyzing the actual living conditions of local small cities by urban size and by analyzing the characteristics of their housing status by city size and type. Local small and medium-sized cities were analyzed into areas with a population of 50-30 ten thousand, 30-15 ten thousand, 15-5 ten thousand, less than 5 ten thousand areas, excluding the metropolitan area. The housing status analysis data used the Population and Housing Census (1995, 2015) and the Korea Housing Survey (2008, 2017) and the analysis method performed one-way layout analysis and the Scheffe multi-range test. According to the research, the difference in the size of households, housing, housing, housing environment, policy assessment, and housing management in local small and medium-sized cities has continued for the past 20 years. In addition, there were four types of urban grouping with similar housing status, with the largest number of residential real estate characteristics items being quantified on a basis of 150,000 people. This study was meaningful in that it attempted to take a new spatial approach to local small cities based on the census of population housing and housing conditions, as well as clarifying the differences in urban size in local small cities.
